TERMS & CONDITIONS
FOR APPLICANTS

The recipient must be an orphan between the ages of 12 years and 18 years that has lost a father

The recipient must have a Legal Guardian
-
The recipient’s guardian shall receive financial support on behalf of the recipient where the recipient is still a dependent of the guardian or aged 18 years and below.

The recipient and guardian must show Proof of Identification and will consent to a background check / verification

The recipient/guardian must have an active Bank Account
-
The recipient should provide their most recent passport photograph

By accepting the scholarship, the recipient consents to the use of their picture for Network publications

The recipient will consent to a health history disclosure
-
To qualify for financial assistance for Vocational training/Technical College/University the recipient must provide an Official Letter of Admission from a tertiary Institution (there is a monetary maximum for tuition. Please contact hON to enquire about the maximum allowable tuition fee when you are ready for financial assistance.)

Prior year results or proof of performance must be provided to qualify for subsequent educational sponsorship

The recipient must agree to participate in quarterly Mentorship and other HON Outreach programs.

Absenteeism or consistent lack of participation in Mentorship Outreach may result in termination of sponsorship

HON reserves the right to revoke sponsorship to a recipient if unsatisfied with performance/process. The recipient will be notified 30 days in advance about the possibility of cancellation of sponsorship.

A recipient may cancel participation in HON by providing a minimum of 30 days notice to HON

The recipient must complete HON’s Application Form and consent to adhere to the above

Additional requests from recipients and guardians outside the scope of HON offer and terms and conditions will not be considered

As an Islamic faith-based organization, applicants are expected to adhere to the guidelines based on the principles of Islam."

HON accepts only one child per family; however, families with multiple births (twins, triplets, etc.) may submit a request for special consideration.
